End of Jordi Ferrón's tenure
The Club has decided to dismiss the women's first team coach
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona announces that Jordi Ferrón has been dismissed from his post as women's first team coach. The Club has taken this decision as a result of the performance of the first team during the current campaign, with the clear will to change the Blue and Whites' course in the Primera Iberdrola for the 2020/21 season.
Ferrón was put in charge of the Espanyol team in December 2019 and, in his eleven official games as head of the team (10 in the league and 1 in the Cup), the coach has obtained three draws and eight defeats, with eight games yet to go.
In May, the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) ruled that the First Iberdrola would have no relegations due to the health crisis caused by the coronavirus.
RCD Espanyol de Barcelona thanks Jordi Ferrón for his dedication and work during the time he has been at the Club, wishing him great success for the future.
Good luck, Jordi!
