Denis Suárez: "I want to win"
The Spaniard has the three points against Elche in sight
One of the additions to the RCD Espanyol squad in the winter transfer market, Denis Suárez has participated in the two games the club have played since his signing on loan.
The attacker is looking for a first victory in a blue and white shirt this weekend against Elche, and he spoke to Espanyol Media on Thursday to preview the game.
"My adaptation has been very positive so far, and I am feeling better with every game after several months without playing," the Spaniard explained.
“On Sunday we have a very important game. We have been working well this week and have the mentality of going there to win -although we are aware of the difficulty that we are going to encounter," he said of the team's Matchday 22 opponents.
"You have to remember that they beat Villarreal 3-1 in their last home game and it won't be easy for us. We have to go for the 3 points."
On RCD Espanyol's league position, Suárez said that "things are very tight from tenth place and below, and three points can allow you to move up the standings."
“It's an important match and we are facing it as such, but that's just the same for the rest of the games that we've played. I've been here for two weeks and haven't been lucky enough to get a win yet; I want to win and I think the team are convinced that it will be our game," he concluded.
