Diego López, Dídac Vilà and Wu Lei renew their contracts with RCD Espanyol and their firm will to continue as Blue and Whites

The well-known renewals of Diego López and Dídac Vilà have been joined in the last few hours by Wu Lei, closing the door to any interest from other teams hoping to hire their services.

This is Espanyol's Chinese striker, who had a contract until December 31, 2020 with the option of one more season, will continue to be part of the Blue and White team until June 2024, after the agreement reached in the last few hours.

For his part, Diego López also rejected an offer and preferred to continue at Espanyol for another season, with another optional season, based on meeting certain objectives. The case of Dídac Vilà is similar. His initial contract will be for two seasons, plus another optional season, also subject to certain objectives being met.

In all three cases, the players, who have notably lowered themselves to the reality of the Second Division, have confirmed their undoubted commitment to the blue and white team and their firm will to start a new phase with the particular goal of promotion to a higher category.
