Blanco: "We will have to work hard to get the three points"
The RCD Espanyol B coach wants his side to keep up momentum against Lleida Esportiu
RCD Espanyol B play their last regular season game this Sunday at midday, at home to Lleida Esportiu. Los Pericos face a side who still need to confirm their survival in the division, despite the improvement experienced throughout the second half of the season.
“It is clear what the objective for this match is. We want to show a high competitive level against Lleida and win our last game at home: That is the target and we cannot fail. We want to go into the playoffs with a good feeling, and this Sunday's game is an incentive to compete at a high level," declared coach Luis Blanco ahead of the fixture.
"Lleida are a side who need to score points, so it will be a competitive match and we will have to adapt to that situation. It will be very useful for us, because in the playoffs we might encounter these types of opponents."
"They have got a lot better in the second half of the season. Despite having achieved more victories, they haven't yet been able to reach safety. This demonstrates the competitiveness that exists in the division. They are a team who in recent matchdays have improved their play and are stronger. We will have to work hard to get the three points," said Blanco.
