Blanco: “It is going to be an exciting play-off”

The B team coach reacts to the play-off draw against Atlético de Madrid B

RCD Espanyol B now know their play-off fate as they will open their campaign at home to Atlético de Madrid B on Saturday.

Luis Blanco’s boys will play the first leg at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque this weekend (kick-off 7:30pm CEST). The B team coach has warned that their opponents are one of the best around at their level, as he gave his initial reaction to the Segunda RFEF tie this week.

Blanco said, “Atlético de Madrid have one of the best academies in Spain. It is going to be a very exciting and beautiful tie on an emotional level. We are going to face an opponent with characteristics similar to ours and now we have to face the week in the best way”.

He continued, “We started the fight for promotion, it is going to be an attractive tie and I think the team has earned the right to have the fans with them”.
