An animal act!
The RCD Espanyol players walked out onto the pitch with 11 dogs looking for a home
This Saturday saw the launch of one of the most inspiring campaigns of the season: “Pericos do not abandon”.
Promoted by the Club as part of the ‘Solidarity Super League’, the campaign aims to raise awareness in society about animal abandonment and adoption, as well as to collect blankets, food and other important resources.
Everyone at Espanyol has been fully involved with this cause, which was the main focus of Saturday night’s match against Real Valladolid. Among the different actions, the main one was the players walking out onto the pitch accompanied by dogs from animal rights protectors from the Barcelona area: Life 4 Pitbulls, El Club de Kat and ProGolden Barcelona.
In addition to releasing a special scarf to accompany the initiative, RCD Espanyol has launched a promotion to encourage the collection of food and material. Anyone who buys the scarf and donates a blanket and food will receive a free ticket for the RCD Espanyol vs SD Eibar match on 3rd November.
Tickets will be handed out at the different donation points. If they are not available in person, the ticket will be sent in digital format. The RCDE Voluntaris will be in charge of collecting food and material.
