Alba Mellado joins RCD Espanyol Femení

Striker joins Carolina Miranda's squad from Levante Las Planas

Alba Mellado has joined RCD Espanyol Femení for the remainder of the season.

The 30-year-old arrives at Espanyol from Levante Las Planas, and has agreed a deal which will see her wear the blanquiazul shirt for the second half of the 2022/23 campaign and join the attacking ranks.

A decorated striker who has tasted success throughout her career, Mellado helped Levante Las Planas achieve promotion to the first division last year. She has previously played for Rayo Vallecano, Pozeulo Alarcón, Madrid CFF and Santa Teresa.

Mellado joins María Pi as new signings in the January transfer window, as the squad is strengthened ahead of the second half of the season.
