State Government and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona announce joint plan for ambitious sports project in Quintana Roo
The Government of the State of Quintana Roo, headed by Governor Mara Lezama, in alliance with RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, have announced a joint football project in the region with a significant social component, which includes the development of a sports complex in Quintana Roo.
This initiative not only seeks to strengthen the relationship between Quintana Roo and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, but also aims to establish a high-performance sports center focused on football. It will be a unique project in Mexico that will provide young local and national talents with the tools, facilities, and top-level training to enhance their skills in the sport.
In addition, this project includes running football clinics in various regions of the state, allowing the passion and talent for football to be nurtured from grassroots level and spread throughout Quintana Roo.
"We are excited about this project, which will undoubtedly promote local talent and strengthen the link between the Government of Quintana Roo and RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. It is a step forward for sports and the youth in our state," said Governor Mara Lezama.
With this alliance, Quintana Roo reaffirms its commitment to sporting development and the training of new talents, whilst always seeking the well-being and progress of its inhabitants.
As part of this project, the RCD Espanyol de Barcelona first team shirt will bear an image of Quintana Roo on the front this season.
This advertising agreement will represent a great opportunity to promote the concept of sports tourism within the framework of the excellent relationship between the Government of the region and the team, stretching back more than a decade.
RCD Espanyol, through club CEO, Mao Ye, would like to publicly thank the Quintana Roo authorities for the trust placed in our entity: "We are very happy to announce the extension of the relationship that has united the State of Quintana Roo and RCD Espanyol for 12 years. It is a source of pride to be able to announce the launch of a joint project of this magnitude in Quintana Roo, in which RCD Espanyol will be able to help the development and coaching of young talent in collaboration with the Quintana Roo teams. Also, I want to thank them for the confidence shown in our club by allowing us to wear an image of Quintana Roo on our shirt.”
This new agreement will begin this Sunday in Albacete, on the occasion of the first matchday of the Laliga Hypermotion season.
