Adri Pedrosa leaves RCD Espanyol
The academy product departs the Club after almost a decade in white-and-blue
Adri Pedrosa will leave RCD Espanyol upon the expiry of his contract this Friday, 30th June.
The Catalan defender brings an end to his nine years at the Club, which he joined in July 2014 as part of the Juvenil B (under-18s squad). Pedrosa made his men’s first team debut in a Copa del Rey match against Cádiz under Joan Francesc Ferrer, ‘Rubi’.
An under-21 international with the Spanish national team, the dynamic full-back has made 112 official appearances (LaLiga, Copa del Rey and Europa League) in which he scored six goals.
Pedrosa said, “At Espanyol I have grown both as a player and a person. I was fortunate enough to qualify for Europe and the bad taste in my mouth of experiencing two relegations. I am convinced that this team will quickly return to the top tier. Whenever I can, I will try to come to the stadium to cheer on the team”.
The Club thanks him for his commitment, dedication and professionalism and wishes him all the luck in the world in his new challenges.
