Naldo regrets "not being able to add" against Villareal, but has no doubt that "we will change this streak of defeats"
Despite defeat to Villarreal, Naldo believes the team is on track to recover the positive results in La Liga. The defender points out that there have already been "differences" in the way of playing and stresses that "we have seen a new proposal after two weeks of training. The pity is that we couldn't achieve the three points.
He admits that playing with three central defenders "can favour both attacking and defensive play when the wings are added" and notes that "we have the responsibility to add, but we know it is important to have peace of mind. We played a good game and in the following games we also have to show that we're closer to victory. Now we have to think about UEFA and stay focused on every game.
He says that unfortunately the team has not been able to win at home in La Liga but insists that "we always look for victory and we try. We lacked some details. We have to work, focus on every detail and try to add as soon as possible. At home we have to win, change that chip. And I'm convinced that we'll change this losing streak.
Questioned about the team's situation in La Liga, he said: "We can't just be thinking about relegation. We have the ability to get out of there. We have to be aware that we're at the start of the championship and we can't generate that anxiety. Negative thoughts make things worse.
