"A season like this one is disappointing"
Quique recognizes that he feels strong, "but with the frustration of not achieving goals"
Feeling frustrated: "There are always better or worse moments throughout a sports career. This is a moment of frustration at not being able to give what is expected of us. This is a collective sport and the most important thing is the club, the fans, in short achieving goals. We are part of a group and my area of responsibility is the top one".
Foresee what is ahead: "I have complained very little. I do not turn back. Now I'm thinking about tomorrow's game, how to rearm the team, in the eleven best, in adding that victory that makes us finish better than we are. "
Loss of illusion?: "No. I have not lost the illusion, I feel physically strong. We had to think more about things than other times. Last year we had a feeling of continued growth and this has been the oposite. That produces wear and tear, going back, going over a lot of things, seeing what we're wrong about... When these things do not come out they take more time. I feel strong, but with the logical frustration of not achieving goals. "
Difficult moments: "Frustrations have constantly gone beyond small doses of joy. We would have liked to have the continuity that we have not had. And that generates a sense of emptiness that can not be filled... When you can not complete people's emotions, it's when you feel frustrated".
Take action: "Football is passion, it is desire, to do things and to be fulfilled. What I believe is that football is action more than words. That's what we always look for, when we talk a lot it's because we have to explain a lot".
Balance: "Things have to be explained at a certain point. They have to explain when they start or end, along the way we can do criticism, look for solutions. In six weeks we will see how the season ends and we will have time to explain it. It is a disappointing season. It does not compensate us to win the big ones to have such a clear irregularity. I do not think it's due to lack of professionalism, we all look for the best solutions and that's why, what happened before the great teams, does not compensate us".
Disenchantment: "We are very much in agreement with the disenchantment of the fans and we are not happy, self-criticism is always good".
Descent: "We have not thought about that possibility, but in football you have to be careful. Our idea has been constant, obsessive, wanting to keep going up. We have never visualized going backwards. We have never given a broken team feeling. We have tied twelve games and seven or eight games have won by the minimum or we have lost for the same result. We have lacked details to make us a little better".
Statistics: "You have to put everything into context. By goals against we would be in the high zone, but with goals in favour, almost in descent. If we had defended badly we would be in a very delicate situation. The goals in favour have to do with the efficiency, but not only of the forwards".
From August until now: "I do not regret it. I have not made excuses. I assume all my responsibilities and my decisions".
Next season: "I'm not talking about me. I hope that next year will not be repeated, it has been a sad year for everyone in general, we will try to change. We are not worth the type of season we have spent. We want the next season to be much more regular, happier".
Éibar: "They are a rival who has an excellent coach. They may be worried because they have the feeling that their players have achieved their goal for days. It is a team with a solid structure, which will be uncomfortable and that will remind us last Sunday. Éibar will not let us play, closes spaces and looks for the second option".
