A global and highly qualified preseason
In a few weeks, RCD Espanyol first team will be back to work. The squad will start the preseason to carry out the appropriate preparation for the sporting course. The preseason will be global and highly qualified.
This is the forecast:
- On July 10, the players start the preseason with the first training and physical and medical tests.
- On July 14, a mixed team between the first squad and the U-23 will play against Inodensia's U-19 national team at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium. On 19 or 20 the first team will face Persija Jakarta at Patriot Stadium in the capital of the Asian country. This tour around Indonesia is sponsored by a local reference company. Taking advantage of these commercial synergies, a tryout will be organized with potential talents between 12 and 18 years old from the five main cities of Indonesia. This sports trial will begin at the end of the summer and will end in October. The two best players will do a technical stage in the Dani Jarque Training Facilities.
- The team is expected to return to Barcelona on July 21, playing in Spanish territory a new friendly, still to be confirmed, a few days after restarting trainings in the Dani Jarque Training Facilities.
- On July 28 the team will play a new international friendly. In particular, it will do in the Swiss town of Winthertur against the powerful Borussia Dortmund, German team, a regular participant in Champions League.
- After the match against Borussia Dortmund, the team will then travel to Herzlake (Germany) to continue training at the premises of Asegaler Mühle, the usual work space the German national team. In those days, between July 31 and August 6, the team will play two new friendlies. The last one of this stay is already confirmed and will also be against a reference team in the Bundesliga: Hamburg, which will be played on August 6.
- Once the stay in Germany is over, the team will return to Catalunya to finish the final stretch of the preseason, in which they are scheduled to play a final friendly match, still pending, before make the debut in LaLiga.
