2022/23 shirts contain historical references
The club and Kelme have designed three shirts for the 2022/23 season, as well as a goalkeeper jersey that pays tribute to Ricardo Zamora
RCD Espanyol have signed an agreement with sportswear manufacturer and distributor Kelme Sports for the next 4 years, and the deal begins with designs for the 2022/23 season that recall famous moments from the club's history.
As always with the home kit, RCD Espanyol will wear their traditional blue and white colours, but with a two-tone blue reminiscent of that used in the 2001/02 season, blurring the stripes and updating the classic design.
The away kit is in a colour with a special meaning for RCD Espanyol fans: Pink. “Our fans love pink. Its combination with black reminds us all of the 2006/07 UEFA Cup”, explains Antoni Alegre, the club's Director of Marketing and Commercial. Twho shades of pink are mixed, creating the effect of speed and tension. Finally, the third kit takes harks back to the 110th anniversary strip.
There is also a special edition of the goalkeeper jersey that incorporates the trim used by legend Ricardo Zamora, possibly the greatest player in the history of RCD Espanyol. In this way, goalkeepers will be dressed just like 'El Divino.'
The Kelme kit designs will bear the logos of the club's sponsors: Riviera Maya on the chest, Reale Seguros on the left sleeve and DIGI on the back of the shirt; and Crypto SNACK on the shorts.
The kits will be available from July 1st at all official RCDEStore locations in Barcelona (RCDE Stadium, Calle Balmes 191 and Plaza España), and on the online store.
