2-0: A hard fought home win
RCD Espanyol B take their first win of the season at the Dani Jarque against CE Manresa
RCD Espanyol B earned a much needed 2-0 win over CE Manresa on Saturday.
Espanyol looked very serious in the first half and superior to their opponents, but the first chance did not come until the half hour mark with a good shot by Gorjón goal. On the next occasion there was no forgiveness: Armand Vallés finished off a first-time ball with his right foot that went all the way into the corner.
After the break, the young pericos continued to have the best chances. As the match progressed, Espanyol's second looked closer than the visitors' draw.
And it ended up coming, in the 85th minute. The debutant Marc Delgado stole the ball in the rival field and Javi Hernández combined with Momoh to make it 2-0 with a very classy finish. The release of emotions was evident in celebration by the entire team, bench included, and a calm end to the game.
A deserved and desired victory for Espanyol B, with hardly any errors and a vital confidence boost. With a great weight lifted, it's now time to travel to Peña Deportiva to continue building what they have begun.
