1-2: Ending with a victory in Granada
A great start gives the three points to Espanyol in the Nuevo Los Cármenes
Espanyol started the game very hard. In fact, in minute two, Piatti assisted Leo Baptistao so the Brazilian could easily score the first goal. And, in the next play, Marc Navarro's long pass to Baptistao, the striker centred the ball and Vezo scored his own goal. Seven minutes and Espanyol was already winning 0-2.
Granada tried to take control of the game, but Quique Sánchez Flores’ squad waited to close spaces in defence. Until Andreas Pereira beat Diego Lopez with a well-placed shot.
The second half started with less pace, with no chances. And so it remained until the end of the match. Baptistao tried a shot from outside and Entrena, former parakeet player, created some danger with individual plays. But the score did not move and Espanyol closed the season with a victory and 56 points.
