RCD Espanyol B claim a point in their Sunday clash against Badalona Futur
RCD Espanyol B took a point from their away trip CF Badalona Futur on Sunday, playing out a 1-1 draw in the league encounter.
The youngsters began the match well and after five minutes had a chance to open the scoring, only thwarted by the goalkeeper and the post keeping out Antoniu Roca's shot.
After the quarter-hour mark, the home team took charge. Badalona had two clear chances opportunities that put Ángel Fortuño to the test, whilst Espanyol presented danger on the counter-attack. The forward line of Luca Koleosho, Abde Damar and Raúl Dacosta were the main attacking threats for the young pericos.
The match reached the interval goalless, as Espanyol started the second half much better, and played higher up the pitch. In the 64th minute, they took the lead off an own goal following a corner.
With the score at 1-0, Badalona were forced to react and, after a triple substitution, they managed to get back on level terms just eight minutes later.
Whilst both teams pushed for a winner, neither side could finish their chances, and the game ended 1-1. RCD Espanyol B remain in the playoff positions, ahead of next Saturday's home clash against AE Prat.
