0-2: Good feelings
The goals of Dídac Vilà and Darder finish with a willful Burnley
They told at the Turf Moor stand that Burnley, after this week's effort to overcome the UEFA League round, had preferred to rest many of their starters. They also said that they are more concerned about the begining of the Premier, next Sunday, in the Southampton field, than about other things.
In any case, the locals wanted to please their fans (much less numerous today than other times) in a spring English midday. They started revolutionized, as always, and acted in a very positional way. Every man for himself. Continuous helps and maximum concentration. But Espanyol did the same. So, at times, there were real agglomerations in the whole central plot, far from the goals.
Espanyol proposed to take the ball from behind and go forward in attack. In many moments they got tangled up in the middle of the local defensive, but when they found the hole, he put the local goal in trouble. Mario Hermoso tested Legzdins with a header that the goalkeeper took out of the squad. Shortly after was used thoroughly with a shot from Javi Lopez from the front with an excellent stop. Hernán also found the body of the goalkeeper in a heads-up game and Borja Iglesias, shortly after, raised the ball too much over the goalkeeper's exit. Meanwhile, Roberto became a spectator who only intervened after every corner against him.
The second half started with the same symptoms, but soon, a ball in depth for Borja Iglesias, who could not finish control, he ended up taking advantage of Dídac to shoot from near Legzdins. It was the 0-1 that rewarded the greater presence in attack of the parakeets. Hernán shortly after had another very clear opportunity that Borja Iglesias made for him, but his shot went close to the post, to the despair of the Paraguayan. Burnley overcame those minutes of bewilderment and McNeill put Roberto to the test, who cleared spectacularly. It was his only interesting action for minutes and minutes and minutes.
Meanwhile, with a lot of substitutions, the match entered in an uncertainty. Javi Lopez stole a ball near the rival area and assisted Piatti, but his shot came close to the left post of the home goal. Puado had a similar one shortly after and the same ending was repeated. But Darder arrived and untangled the subject. Three minutes from the end, zapatazo satin from outside the area, adjusted to the right post, and ball to the bottom of the net. Darderazo to finish the match.
