0-1: RCD Espanyol B go joint top
Luis Blanco's B team beat Peña Deportiva on the road
RCD Espanyol B took a 1-0 victory away to Peña Deportiva on Sunday, thanks to a goal from Javier Lancho, and are now joint top of the league.
Suffering from a plague of injuries, Luis Blanco's modified starting lineup began the game well, in what was an evenly matched opening. The clearest early chance was for Raúl Dacosta from a free kick, which clanged against the post.
Minutes before, Peña Deportiva had enjoyed an opportunity through Samu Vázquez, but Joan Puig made the save inside the six-yard-box. Espanyol made a scoring start to the second half, as in the 53rd minute Lancho grabbed his third goal of the season.
Two strong chances for the home side followed, but Espanyol B held out for three points that put them level with Teruel in the Segunda RFEF.
