Piatti gives the victory against the outstanding Borussia Dortmund
RCD Espanyol won his third pre-season match against one of the best teams in Europe; Borussia Dortmund. The Schützenwiese Stadium, with a capacity of 9.400 spectators, took in the great show.
The first half was dominated by Peter Bosz squad, but the parakeet defence held up the German attacks. The speed of Dembélé and Aubameyang was really incredible, although Pau López avoided the risk. Leo Baptistao, had a great chance, but his shot couldn’t beat Bürki. Neither a good performance of Jurado that Granero and Sergio García could not conclude.
RCD Espanyol grew up during the second half, Borussia Dormund had the possession but the white and blues got the control. Piatti came back after his injury and, just in one minute, he scored with a fantastic lob from the edge of the area to give the winning to the Quique Sánchez Flores team.
