“We needed to win away”
Burgui says that he is happy for his goal but even more for the team’s victory
Jorge Franco, Burgui, scored this Saturday his first goal for Espanyol in the Liga. The player on loan by Real Madrid said that “I am very happy for the goal, but even more with the victory. We needed to win away and it was difficult because we started losing but we were able to come back”.
“We knew that these two matches were very important. We weren’t going through a good moment and it was important to win Deportivo. Saturday we did a good match and we have to keep working every day, be together and win Betis. We all want to play but the most important thing is the team”.
Burgui said that “the goal is important so I carry on working. I am learning a lot from my teammates and if we keep together we will get out of this situation”.
The player said that “the actual system is working well for us. We are achieving good results and now we have two matches and we have to carry on like this”.
About his personal performance Burgui said that “I am playing with players that I watched on TV last year. I am proud of the job I am doing to achieve my dream. I think I have improved. I know I have problems in defense but I am trying to improve”.
