“We need to apologize”
Rufete asks the players to honour the colours until the end
“We had hopes of catching up and have lost them. I can imagine how people feel for what they have suffered. People must be very upset. Not only do I think we should apologize, but we have to listen to them, and give them what they deserve. We will continue fighting until the end, working twice as hard. We need to realize that some things have been done well and some things have been done badly”, said the Blue and Whites’ coach, Francisco Joaquín Pérez Rufete.
Rufete pointed out that “nobody is going to let go. We have a very difficult task and it does not depend on us. We have to analyse what has been done wrong. We have to move forward, understand our people, understand their anger and learn from situations that are not positive, so that we can grow”.
“The team is very upset, but they cannot give up. We have to compete and defend our pride and that of our people. We are playing a derby, we know where we are and we have to honour our colours with work and effort until the end”.
