“We know what our goal is from day one”

Jofre Carreras asserts that the team is confident and hopeful for the trip to CD Leganés

Jofre Carreras is ready for Friday night’s challenge against CD Leganés and reflected the team’s belief in his press conference.

Jofre said, “There is no easy game in this league. Everything is very tight, both at the top and the bottom. We know that we have to fight until the end in every game and we have to believe on the pitch, that's what we have to do every game. Leganés are a great team but we know what our goal is from day one”.

RCD Espanyol take on league leaders Leganés at their Estadio Municipal Butarque, in what is a must-win game if they want to finish the season on top. Jofre comes off the back of an impressive performance in the 2-1 win against Albacete, where he scored the opening goal and then assisted Nico Melamed’s winner last week.

The Catalan continued, “The end is approaching and it seems that now the points count more than at the beginning, but it is just another game. We will go out to win, as we always try to do. We have always been clear about our objective and we have a responsibility, so we have to believe in our abilities to achieve it”.
