“We have to fight all the matches”
Galca says that he is only focused on Saturday’s match against Sporting de Gijón
RCD Espanyol is playing R. Sporting Gijón aiming for a good result. The white and blue manager, Constantin Galca, said that after the victory against Deportivo de la Coruña the players are mentally cleared and he added that “we have to be focused and go to Gijón with the idea of winning”.
Espanyol will play in the next matches against direct rivals but Galca said that he only thinks on Saturday’s match. “We must think match by match and concentrate in our next game. Thereafter, we will think in Rayo or Betis. It is true that we face direct rivals, but I don’t think that the fact of remaining in the First Division is going to be decided in the next matches. We have to fight every match”, he said.
An important aspect of these matches is the goal average. “It is important, but most importantly is to win the three points. If we can win by two or more goals, even better”, he said. “It is important to be ambitious. We know that is going to be a very tough match because it is a very intense team and their fans support the team. We must be focused during all the whole match”. Therefore, Galca said that the players feel “more comfortable” with the current system.
About Hernán Pérez and Víctor Sánchez Hhe said that if a player is called for the game is because he is ready “to play the 90 minutes”. About Caicedo’s absence he said that “he is a very important player for us” but he is confident in Gerard’s Moreno performance. “He works a lot for the team. It is true that THIS moment is not good for a striker, but I hope that after our last victory he feels more comfortable, helps and scores. I am confident on him”.
