“We have played well at difficult stadiums”
Óscar Duarte remarks that Villarreal is doing a great season
Óscar Duarte has played the last three matches for Espanyol. The defender assures that he is feeling well and that he is confident after the performance of the team, also his own. “I had the opportunity to play the last three matches in a row and that has given me plenty of confidence. Personally I have done well and the team too”, he said.
About the match against Celta, Duarte said that the team should have had a bit more of patience. “We went for the match from the beginning. When we were playing against a ten men team we should have had a bit more patience. We got anxious so we lost some balls in the last three quarters”.
“Celta has good players, very fast and we had to be very concentrated not to let them counter attack. We were able to manage that situation and we were able to get one point that it was difficult”, he said.
The next match for Espanyol is against Villarreal, a team that is doing very well this season. “They are playing very well and from now on we only have this match in mind. We have to continue with our work. We don’t have to change. We must follow our path to be a difficult team and we have to remember that in the difficult stadiums we have properly performed”.
