“We didn’t play as well as we did in other matches”
RCD Espanyol manager, Vicente Moreno, admitted that the team “didn’t play as well as in previous matches.” He emphasised that “the defeat was hard to take; that’s the reality. We weren’t how we had to be in order to win the match, and probably without realising it, we were not playing how we have been playing during the season. They scored two goals out of nothing, and although we had our chances, we weren’t as sharp as we should be. We had the will, but we didn’t play as well as we did in other matches.”
Moreno concluded by saying “it’s a relief to be promoted with four matches left, but they're still important to us and we clearly have to compete the same as we have been throughout the season. I still want to enjoy competing in the present situation. We still have a chance to win the league, and we have to compete like we have been competing until now.”
