“We are not conformists”
Diego Reyes said that the team has to enjoy the three remaining matches and try to fight for the 8th position
Diego Reyes does not want to hear about his future or any other thing despite the last three games Espanyol has to play. The blue-and-white defender is very pleased "for everything the team has done this year" but he insists that "it can always be improved. We are not conformists. Although you play millions of games, the next one always gives you anxiety and you try to face being as humble as possible. In front of us we will have a great team, that needs the points but we have players and football to fight them".
He also said that he has seen a “united and happy team. The truth is that we are very happy for what we have done. We still lack things to achieve because we have room for improvement. We are aiming now to be able to get the eighth place and hopefully we can".
He said that, in this first season "few expected this to happen. The team has improved on the basis of effort and with work we can go further. We went eight straight games without conceding goals. There are three games in which we have to keep working, fighting and enjoying every day playing football. Our goals have always been the highest. Very few people thought we were going to be where we are thanks to the effort. I think we gave a very good image across the season".
Concerning his future, he only said that "it is an unknown. I wish I knew. I do not know where I'm going to live. All I think about is enjoying these three games. First the Deportivo and then the other two. It's all I have in my head".
