“We are adapting to a new reality”
Diego López has no doubts that “with time, patience, and responsibility we will get through this”
As mandatory confinement is approaching one month, the Blue and Whites' team members continue with their daily routines, waiting to see how the coming weeks will develop. Diego López, one of the captains, acknowledges that he is not finding it easy to tackle this situation, but, drawing from his experience, he believes that “we are adapting to a new reality”, suggesting that “we must always take the positive side of the bad things that happen to us”. And, with this formula, he makes the most of being “at home round the clock” and his new housework tasks.
He jokes by saying that “I don't have any spare time”, adding that “my daughters demand a lot of fun and a lot of time” and that the worst thing is “not being able to leave the house normally. I am a very active person and this situation is difficult for me”.
He misses “seeing teammates, training, the matches… All those routines that you have been doing for so long, but you have to adapt and hope that everything is resolved as soon as possible”.
He says that the news of those affected in the first team impacted him but, fortunately, “everyone is fine and we want to see each other”; he ends with a message of encouragement “for everyone and all those who have contracted the disease or are going through bad times. We have to be united, stay positive and we will see that with time, patience and responsibility we will get through this”.
