Quique Sánchez Flores said that Alavés will try to react against Espanyol
After ten matches, Espanyol hasn’t been able yet to win away. This Saturday the white and blue team faces Alavés, that is the last in the table. However, the manager said that the Basque team is going to give a lot of problems at Mendizorroza.
“We always think positive, but against this type of rivals and situations we have to duplicate de attention. Alavés thinks that they can’t lose more matches and that they have to change their dynamic. We must try that they don’t react against us. It is going to be difficult because they are going to push. If something works, it is better not to touch it. However, the rest of the players are doing well”, he said.
“Every match is different. We have achieved three draws that have been good for us. Despite Alavés' budget is lower than ours they are going to put us in trouble. They played well against Valencia and Betis. They have good players and we must try that they don’t show their best level”, he said.
"The good comparison is to compare us. We have to be ambitious, we have to want to win, compete and not lose ambition. I see a team that grows, with ambitions, the times are what they are, but I see the status of a competitive team. I have the feeling that we are a team that can grow a lot", he said.
