“It is a very difficult team to play against”
Víctor Sánchez says that it is not convenient to play on a Friday
After a weekend without football Espanyol is getting ready to play against R. Betis. Again the white and blue team plays on Friday with the doubt of their international players. As Víctor Sánchez, one of the captains of the squad, said it is an inconvenience to play so many matches on a Friday as we are playing this season.
“After a week with National Team matches it is complicated because the players arrive late, with jet lag and scarce rest. I think we shouldn’t play on a Friday after the FIFA break, but TV’s have their say”, said.
“Betis is a team that plays well, that likes to have the ball and that has changed a lot since Víctor is the manager. They play with 5-3-2 and it is difficult to play against them. However, we are doing well at home and we have to have the initiative”.
For Víctor Sánchez one of the good news of the week is the agreement between Javi López and the club. “We have suffered this situation together and I am very happy for him because I would have Javi always in my team. The club told us that they were going to extend our contracts and we have reached an agreement”.
