“I hope the week goes alright”
Víctor Sánchez is confident to be fit for Saturday’s match against Eibar
Víctor Sánchez has been two months out of the fields due to an injury. The midfielder is ready to come back and hopes to be fit for Saturday’s match against Eibar. “I am working with my teammates. This Friday when the coach gives the list I hope to be included. I know I can’t play 90 minutes because I haven’t played since January and I know I am not fit but I hope by the end of the week to be fine and that I can travel with the team. I tried to train with the group but I wasn’t well. We saw that I couldn’t continue like that and we decided to stop until I felt better. A week ago I started to feel better and now I feel OK. I have good feelings and I hope the injury is forgotten. Therefore, if I don’t go I won’t be disappointed”.
“I play as a midfielder; that is my position but I have felt comfortable as back right wing. I have helped the team in that position but it is the manager who decided it”, he said.
Focus on next game, Víctor Sánchez said that Eibar has a very good team. “They are playing very well lately. It is a small field and it is difficult to attack long; it is easier to arrive with long balls or second chances. It is going to be very difficult”, he said.
About the team situation Víctor Sánchez said that “we are where we wanted to be in this moment. We are in the top ten and we are fighting to be between the first eight. We still have to compete with the top teams and we have had problems against Villarreal, Celta, Real Sociedad, but I think we are doing well. We are receiving more goals but we are scoring more in the other hand. We have very difficult matches and if we want to go up we must win the teams above us. When we get to the last four or five matches we will see where we are and the points we need”.
