“I am not disappointed”
Sergio García said that he would like to play more minutes but knows that his teammates are doing very well
Sergio García has become player number 12. The striker hasn’t played yet from the beginning in the league but is one of the players frequently used by Quique Sánchez Flores. Despite he would like to play more minutes, the striker said that his teammates are doing very well and that he has tried to do his best to help the team.
“Everybody wants to play and score. The manager is who decides who plays and where. I hope we can score more goals and help the team. I am ready. At the beginning it was difficult, but now I am fit. If I have to be in the line-up I will try to do my best; it is the manager who decides. I am in a good team, with a great atmosphere, great teammates. Obviously I would like to be always in the line-up but meanwhile I have to support the players that are having more minutes”, he said.
“My strikers teammates are doing very well. I am not disappointed. I would like to play more but I am not disappointed. These are things that can happen. I will try to do the most of my opportunities. One was to be on the field from the beginning, I haven’t come only to play a few minutes but I have to deserve it. Once I have my opportunities I will try to do my best. Every week I fight to be in the line-up. If I have the chance to play I hope I can collaborate with a goal or the victory””, he said.
“I have always received a lot from our supporters. They always cheer me and I try to do my best so they are happy with me and the team.
“The team is competitive. Not only when we face rivals that are on the top. Sometimes things don’t turn out as we expect, but we always play with the same commitment.
“Valencia changed the manager and things are turning well for them. Therefore, one day they will lose and I hope that we are able to win. They are a great team but we can win. After a defeat the best is to win”.
