“A good result would be extremely positive”
Diego López, as the rest of his teammates, thinks that Espanyol will have to play a perfect match to get a good result against R. Madrid
Diego López is going back to the Santiago Bernabéu with the hope of achieving a good result. The goalkeeper said that Espanyol will have to try to do their match and not think about the rival. As his teammates said during the week, the goalie thinks that Espanyol will have to play a perfect match against the actual leader of the league.
“We must do a perfect match and hope that they don’t have a good day and they aren’t successful. We must do a great match. We are playing one of the best teams in the world, they are favourites, but we will go out to do our match to see how much has Espanyol grown and what are we capable of doing. We must offer the less option as possible and not do any mistakes. We must try to keep R. Madrid as far as possible of our area, because they generate a lot of danger”.
Diego López said that “if we are able to obtain a good result it will be very positive. It is a great team with great players. We must do our best match to obtain points. When the supporters push, the rival gets smaller. We must try not to think in the environment, forget who we are playing against and think in ourselves”.
