"We must do much better"
V. Moreno says that "you have to do some self-criticism" after a game in which "we had a feeling we would be able to achieve a good result"
Vicente Moreno left Gran Canaria unsatisfied with what he saw on the field. The coach summed it up saying that “we did not play a good match and we haven't found our game. We tried, but had no luck”.
The coach insisted that “the evaluation of the game is negative. It can't be any other way. I have the feeling that we could have achieved a good result, and we didn't. Now we have to think about tomorrow. We have little leeway. We have to think about the Copa, and we know that we will have another opportunity this Sunday. We must do much better to have a chance at winning". He insisted that “we have many things to improve. We did not find anything that we were seeking, and on an individual level we have not been as lucky as our abilities could have allowed”.
Finally, regarding the referee decisions that determined the game, he argued that “you have to know how to live with that. There's no need to keep going over it. Sometimes they benefit you, other times they're detrimental. We have never made any assessment of the referee issue, and we will not do it now”.
