"The game got away from us"
RCD Espanyol coach Vicente Moreno has analysed his team's defeat against Rayo Vallecano. The coach regretted that the victory escaped him in the final minutes when the match was under control. “The game was under control. We considered putting another player in the centre of the field, but, in the end, we decided not to remove people from up top to look for the third goal and be more at ease. The game got away from us,” declared Vicente Moreno.
Vicente has recognized that “these are not the numbers we are looking for. We have to win more than lose, but all the details seem to not be falling our way. The reality is that it is difficult. The result in the first half was a bit short and we could have finished with a few more goals. The game was to win, but it got away from us. We could have won, but the end was crazy and it got away from us again.”
