"The evaluation is positive"
Vicente Moreno highlights the team's competitive spirit and accepts the balance at this start of the competition
RCD Espanyol coach Vicente Moreno was satisfied with the victory, which came on a very special day for the club. “I don't think it is the most complete game of the season. There are times when the team is very good and finds what it is looking for and, on the other hand, at other times we know that we can do better. There are good things to reinforce and others that have room for improvement,” he stated. In this sense, he added that “I would have liked to have had a bit more calm to handle some moments of the game in a different way. We have a lot of demands and that sometimes makes you rush a bit. At times we have been patient, and at others we have to be calmer”.
The Espanyol coach recognised that “it was an important event for the parakeets. We had set ourselves the goal of winning and doing our part to make people happy. We would have liked the fans to be here. I am very happy because the team competes and that is essential to achieve objectives: it gives everything and has the ambition to do things well”.
Vicente has pointed out that “I think the assessment is positive. We start with the intention of winning every game we play. We have to try to win every time we put on the Espanyol jersey. I'm happy with the score”.
