Stadium sanction reduced to one game on appeal
The Appeals Committee announce their verdict
The Appeals Committee has informed RCD Espanyol that the sanction imposed for the incidents that occurred on LaLiga Matchday 34 last season will be reduced to one match behind closed doors and a fine of 25,000 euros.
The Committee addressed part of the appeal presented by RCD Espanyol, in which the club showed that all the security requirements established had been met.
RCD Espanyol will play the match behind closed doors on Matchday 2 of the Segunda División season against Racing Santander.
As stated in the season ticket renewal campaign, and taking into account that a match will be held behind closed doors, the club maintain a 50 percent discount for next season, in the event of promotion, for all season ticket holders who attend a minimum of 16 of the 21 league games at the Stage Front Stadium -instead of 17 as initially established.
