Record-breaking RDT
Raúl de Tomas continues to break club records. His arrival has brought goals, and in the last four weeks he has become the first player in RCD Espanyol history to score in his first four official matches in the ‘blanquiazul’ shirt, three in the league and one in the cup.
The Madrilenian striker scored on his debut against San Sebastián de los Reyes in the second round of the cup, and then scored in the next three league games against Villarreal, Athletic Club and Granada.
Behind him, there are three other players that only managed to score in their first three official matches: Broto, in 1929; Camer, in 1948, Antonio Vázquez, in 1949, and José Fernández in 1953."
