The top-scoring forward last season was chosen by LaLiga

Raúl de Tomás was one of the most decisive players for RCD Espanyol last season to make it back up to the first division. Having been awarded the Zarra Trophy and top goal scorer in the league, the player from Madrid saw his fantastic season topped off with a another important distinction. The white and blue forward was chosen as MVP of LaLiga Smartbank 2020-21 by the same sports association.

Raúl de Tomás managed to score 23 goals in 50 matches wearing the Espanyol shirt and set up three goal assists in the 3.026 official minutes in which he competed in the league.
