The team become champions for a second time

RCDE Special have won LaLiga Genuine for the second time, thanks to another successful weekend in Villarreal.

After wins in the stages held at the Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque and in Vigo, RCDE Special came into the round depending on themselves and with a schedule full of direct duels with their rivals.

Saturday began with an exciting game between Espanyol and Cádiz (first against third), which ended 0-3 to Los Pericos. Manel Algeciras and Xavi Tendero's players also won in the afternoon, against Leganés 3-1.

These two victories led to the grand finale being held on Sunday between the two teams at the top of the standings: Espanyol and Getafe. The match ended 3-1 to RCDE Special, giving them the title for the second time.

Mao Ye, CEO of RCD Espanyol, was present at the award ceremony along with Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, and Fernando Roig, president of Villarreal CF, the host club for this edition. Captain Víctor lifted the trophy and dedicated it to all of the players and fans who support the team.

This season, encompassed within the SuperLiga Solidaria project, concluded with the team having a record of 11 victories and 1 defeat, and having hosted LaLiga Genuine for the first time -with the organisation of RCD Espanyol and the ACELL Federation, Nostra Catalunya Sense Límits and MIC Integra.
