RCD Espanyol participate in World Football Summit
The club contribute to the Cashless Marketplace panel, organised by CaixaBank
This week, RCD Espanyol de Barcelona participated in the World Football Summit in Seville. Together with Atletico Madrid, the club were part of the Cashless Marketplace panel, organised by CaixaBank, through CaixaBank Payments & Consumer.
In this talk, held at one of the largest global fairs in the sports sector, RCD Espanyol representatives explained the innovation project shared with CaixaBank, one of the main sponsors of the club.
Throughout the conference, the solution that CaixaBank Payments & Consumer offers to sports entities was presented, showing how it can unify, in a single platform, the different business units of clubs, such as the Renewal and Registration of season ticket holders, Ticketing, the purchase of Merchandise, Food & Beverage orders on match days, and any other process that the club member wishes to carry out.
RCD Espanyol became pioneers in 2020, when they converted the RCDE Stadium into the first cashless stadium in LaLiga. Over the course of these past four seasons, the project has evolved, and recently the club have launched a new version of the official app, presenting new features in terms of user experience and new payment methods.
RCD Espanyol continue to work to enhance engagement with fans and develop technological and digital projects that boost the generation of business.
