RCD Espanyol participate in ESSMA summit
The Club presented its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) revenue business model of the Stage Front Stadium
RCD Espanyol took part in the ESSMA Summit in Amsterdam, organised by the European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA), to present the Stage Front Stadium’s business strategy outside of matchdays.
The 10th edition of the summit, which was held at AFC Ajax’s Johan Cruijff ArenA, took place on 23rd and 24th January 2024 in the Dutch capital, bringing clubs and sporting facilities together to discuss security measures, operations and facilities’ performance.
RCD Espanyol was represented by Sponsoring and International Development commercial, Sergi Martínez, who presented the Club’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) revenue business model of the Stage Front Stadium (SFS). The SFS is a multifunctional space that has a keen focus on non-matchday income, maximised as part of the MICE model to make the most of having a world class venue in Barcelona.
The SFS and RCD Espanyol alike have been praised for its work this season, which through the agreement with Stage Front, aims to improve the fan experience inside the stadium and boost ticketing sales on both matchdays and non-matchdays.
