RCD Espanyol de Barcelona has joined the “No household without food” campaign
The “No household without food” solidarity campaign promoted by the “la Caixa” Foundation and CaixaBank, the official sponsor of RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, has already raised one million euros in just one month. This is a campaign in favour of Food Banks, aiming to provide an extraordinary response to the social emergency arising from the health crisis, in addition to covering the demand that is usually met through face-to-face campaigns - which have also been affected by the current situation.
Due to the positive reception of the solidarity campaign, the “la Caixa” Foundation has decided to double the contribution with an additional one million euros. This will add up to a total of two million euros, which will be distributed among the 54 Food Banks associated in the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL).
Given the commendable work of all professionals in the fight against COVID-19 and the solidarity campaigns promoted by entities such as CaixaBank, we want to use the communicative strength of football and encourage all members to participate. We parakeets are known for our spirit of selfless commitment, and now we need to ensure that the most vulnerable families can have their basic needs covered.
In less than one month, more than 16,000 donors have joined the fundraising campaign, which is still open, by making a donation through CaixaBank’s operational channels; via Bizum, at number 38014; by sending an SMS with the word “ALIMENTOS” (food) to 38014; or via the website www.ningunhogarsinalimentos.org.
