Dear fans,
Responsibility for this season's poor result lies mostly with me. For this I'd like to express my most sincere and deepest apologies to the fans and supporters, who back us and care about the team.
For this reason, we need to do some deep self-criticism and reflection. At the same time, we will strongly promote the constant development of the Club. We are confident that, through constant effort and hard work, the Club will return to the top level, where historically it deserves to be.
Espanyol values of struggle and commitment precede the Club. The most admirable thing is that our fans are always there, endlessly fighting with us side by side. Your confidence, emotion and pride provides the energy and the engine that keeps Espanyol moving forward. On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank you most sincerely.
We saw the 2019/2020 season as an exciting challenge, and we have failed, which is very painful. But that does not mean we lose hope. We are in a good financial situation, and have great assets such as a modern stadium, Ciudad Deportiva, great youth teams and, above all, our best asset, our fans, which will be decisive in achieving success again.
"Those who want to jump must duck first." Past experience will be the Club's most valuable treasure. We promise to honour and promote Espanyol's glorious 120-year tradition, and look forward to the return of a much stronger Espanyol.
