Melamed: “The good results will come from that calmness”
Melamed speaks to the media on the next task ahead
Nico Melamed spoke in a press conference ahead of Sunday’s match against Cádiz.
RCD Espanyol will look to pick up a second away victory of the season, as well as bounce back from the 2-2 home draw against Valencia. However, the winger insisted that last week is already behind the team and they are instead looking ahead.
Melamed said, “We are calm, we realise that the win is very close and that it will come. The good results will come from that calmness.”
Espanyol make the long trip down to Cádiz on Sunday, with the hosts sitting three places below in the LaLiga table. Nonetheless, Melamed emphasises that he does not focus on the table and would rather focus on the task in front of them.
He said, “We have had the pressure since the first league game. We know that training as we are doing, the victories will end up coming. We don't feel that pressure, but we are going to go for the three points this weekend, as we have done other times.”
Melamed added, “I’m working to help the team as much as possible, and so that we don't make mistakes again. I am going to give everything when I’m on the pitch.”
