Lozano: "It is time to clear our heads"
The captain talks to the media
Putting the defeat to Girona behind them, the RCD Espanyol squad are now focused on this Saturday's opponents, Celta Vigo.
Pol Lozano talked to the media this week, and said that "we are hurt by this situation."
"We have done a lot of self-criticism and it is time to clear our heads to achieve that extra level of performance. The only ones who have gotten ourselves into this situation are us and we have to get out of it. We are the protagonists, those who play well or badly, and we are the ones who have to stand up for this club so that everything goes well."
"We are really looking forward to this weekend and we will not disappoint. We have tried to clear our minds. We are in a situation that can be reversed. Words are of no use if nothing is done on the pitch, which is where we have to fight and win. I think we have time ahead of us. I speak for the whole group: We don't like being in this situation, but we have to move forward. It's the only solution," he said.
He also recalled that "we are a team that, if we are not at 100%, things don't work out for us. This is the reality. Having the support of the fans gives us a boost that translates into points. Although the situation is difficult, we know that they will be behind us, and this weekend we want to give them the three points because they deserve it."
