RCD Espanyol celebrates the anniversary of its foundation with commemorative acts
28th October 1900 is the most important date in our history. It is the day that the Club that we know today as RCD Espanyol was founded, a day marked on the calendar for all pericos.
The spirit of RCD Espanyol and its fans is indestructible and a totally unique case in the world of football. A past of history, a future of glory, as our anthem goes; and a present full of hope and excitement.
As is tradition in recent years, a Club delegation led by CEO, Mao Ye Wu, accompanied by the President of the RCDE Foundation, Antoni Fernández Teixidó, went to the grave of the founder of RCD Espanyol, Ángel Rodríguez, who himself was represented by a family member.
The day continued at the Stage Front Stadium with the floral offering in front of the fans' statue at the front of the stadium. It was attended by Mao Ye Wu, men's first team player Keidi Bare, women's first team co-captain Emily Dolan, Foundation representatives Alberto Fernández Díaz, Víctor Malet and Jordi Tomás, ambassadors Iñaki Pérez de Arrilucea and Raúl Longhi, as well as different Club representatives.
