González: "We will have to come out focused"

The coach speaks about the game against Barbastro

Manolo González wants to take advantage of the level shown in the match against Celta Vigo, and that his RCD Espanyol team consolidate the showing in their Copa del Rey game against Barbastro.

“We hope to have a good match and progress in the competition. We are aware that in these matches you can suffer if you don't come out focused and take the lead. It will be a tough match and we will have to compete at our best," he said on Monday.

“You have to adapt to the match as soon as possible. I have never had to be mentally prepared by anyone. This match for those who want to vindicate themselves by taking a step forward. Attitude has to be non-negotiable and you have to go all-out.”

For González “every match is important and you have to give the best possible showing. It will be a difficult match. Barbastro are a well organised team. I have known their coach for years and he gets a lot out of what he has. It is a difficult fixture and they have already shown that. It will be tougher than it seems. We have to come out very focused.”
