González: "We want to keep a clean sheet again"
The coach talks ahead of the Monday meeting with Getafe
Manolo González commented on the elimination from the Copa del Rey this past Tuesday in his pre-match press conference for the game against Getafe, admitting that the result still bothers him.
"I tried to be calm and sensible in the moment, but I was very angry," he said. "But we had a good game against Celta and we are going to try to keep the same idea as in that one, staying solid and committed. We know that it will be a difficult match, but we hope to get something positive out of the meeting with Getafe."
He insisted that the defeat to Barbastro only confirms his idea that "any opponents can beat you."
"Winning two LaLiga games in a row would give us an advantage. We know that it will be a very difficult match and different from last week's against Celta," he explains.
"Getafe are a team that have many virtues. They have earned being in the Primera División for many years. When you are the team who receive the fewest shots from the opposition, it is for a reason. We have to try to compete as hard as possible to win because if we don't match their level it will be difficult to win."
"We want to keep a clean sheet again. If we want to achieve a solid, stable position, that is something we need -as do all the teams. I hope that the team continue to grow in terms of how they feel."
