González: "We have to get rid of the fear of failure"

The coach sets his sights on Athletic Club

LaLiga is back after the international break and for RCD Espanyol coach Manolo González, a trip to San Mamés to face Athletic Club should not be an obstacle for the team to “show its personality."

“We have to run like Athletic -or better- and compete as best as possible. There is no other formula. We know the level of the opponents and we hope that our gameplan is good, as we are going to try to get the three points."

The coach hailed the boost in morale that has come with their recent performances.

“We have shown that we can compete at any ground. Every day the team show more confidence in their own abilities. I think we can have a good game tomorrow," he stated,  recalling other examples such as the visits to the Bernabéu, the Metropolitano and the Benito Villamarín.

“We have to get rid of the fear of failure. The important thing is to have personality tomorrow," he concluded by saying.
