González: "We have to finish games off much sooner"
The coach sees room for improvement after the Copa del Rey win
Manolo González left Riazor with the feeling of his side having done their job, but he also underlined that “we still have to increase our level of self-demand. We didn't suffer excessively, but we have to finish games off much sooner.”
The coach insisted on the idea that, in the first half, “we were not sharp. We had the same problem as in other games. We cannot have such clear chances and not finish them. There cannot be so many errors. We have to urgently increase our self-demand. This was a game that, obviously, would become complicated if we didn't score.”
"We can correct this with hard work and confidence. These are games, I insist, in which if you do not open the opposition up quickly, what happened at the end happens. They competed well. This game should have been resolved in the first half.”
Finally, he reveale that Pol Lozano, who had to come off injured, “will not be available for this Sunday or for the game against Valencia.”
